After investigating the shopping area, Zero walks into the cafe and grabs a coffee and chocolate bun. He sits down and starting nomming away while he reads one of his text books.

Zero turned a few pages pulling faces as he looked at some of the big words. "Sax-aha-kfi-mo-dos-pad" he slowly read out. "WTF, that isn't even a word" shaking his head Zero threw the book down and took a sip of coffee.

Having her school bag over her shoulder, Rie walked inside the cafe and ordered a cup of hot chocolate.
She took a seat to a table infront of the one Zero was in, her back facing him. She laid her head against the table, not bothering to drink the hot chocolate.

Zero sat there for a minute, wondering if he should see how Rie was.
Zero got up, and walked over to the counter.
"Hey Rie, how are you?" Zero sat down in front of Rie, and sat a cupcake in front of her. "I owe you one, from the dorm" (OOC: Yea I probably shouldn't be mixing RPs but, meh.)

Sensing Zero approach her, Rie lifted her head up and saw him sit infront of him. Somehow, despite what Szayel taught her about not showing her true emotions, she smiled.
"I shouldn't but," She chuckled, taking a bite out of the cupcake. "It's quite delicious. Thank you, Zero."

Zero smiled as Rie bit the cup cake "I wish I could have said I made it" Zero broke off a tiny piece and tried it. "Mhm, it's nice but yours were better" Zero smiled than went bright red, "you... You should smile more, often. It's very... Very pretty." Zero feeling like he shouldnt have said that looked down and held his breath.

"Oh no, this is wonderful. Thank you, Zero." Rie continued to smile, and from his comment, she smiled more.
Rie had blushed redder than Zero did, from hearing his comment. "Yes, I should, shouldn't I? And I will...f-for you..." She looked away, not believing what she was saying, but glad that she did.

Zero looked up, and saw Rie smiling. He took a sip of his coffee and opened the text book. "some work we got uh?" He took another sip, "and we don't even have any teachers yet" He coughed "Lovely weather today" he said with a smile.

Rie's chuckle suddenly changed into a giggle, as she placed a hand over her mouth.
"Yes, you're right. But having no teachers is interesting, isn't it?"

"yea. Learning loads" he said with a wink. Zero tipped the last of the coffee into his mouth, stirring around the stuf that floats to the bottom. "Maybe we will get lucky and Azien-sama might do a class or two" He satthe cup down and looked around the cafe. "he'd be a great teacher"

Rie continued to giggle as she watched Zero. She could not stop laughing, especially infront of Zero. He made her feel....different.
"Yes, he would," She nodded as she took a sip of her hot chocolate, which was still warm.
She closed her eyes, with a short sigh, "Listen, Zero, I must tell you something..."

Zero looked up at her with a blank face, "ok. What is it?" he looked at her in the eyes wondering what was going to happen. Maybe she is really a dude, he thought to himself.

Rie was silent for a while, until she looked at Zero with saddened and solemn icy-blue eyes.
"I'm sorry, Zero. I'm sorry," She had said softly, but her voice rose slightly. "I'm sorry for not making the best first impression upon you, and acting like such a...such a...."
She tried to say what people always, always called her, but she hated that terrible, ugly word.

Zero stared at her. "it's fine. It's hard sometimes to meet new people... I might not have been as respectful as I should have." Zero looked again at the empty cup. "I'm still not use to this place, having to do so many things. Not use to any of it" He turned the cup upside down on the plate "So I'm also sorry" Zero starched his head. "I hope we could be friends." Zero smiled as he looked into her blue eyes

"That's what I want!" Rie smiled at Zero as she leaned forward, but then pulled back.
"Because I...actually never had a friend before, and I wanted to be your friend, especially."
