[shadow=red,left,300]The Basics[/shadow](NOTE: This post is for the basic players who do not know much about the universe of the anime Bleach) This post will cover the following: - Soul Society
- Hollows & Arrancars
-------------------------------------------- Soul Society:The Soul Society, also called The Spirit World, is the equivalent to "Heaven" for humans. This is where all most all souls go to when their body dies. Its also the home world for Shinigami (Meaning: Death Gods/Soul Reapers), but in the anime are known as Soul Reapers. (See <LINK> for the class on this) Like any place, they have their own laws, government and royalty. The whole of the Soul Society is controlled by the Spirit King. The ''military'' of the Soul Society is the Gotei 13, or also known as 13 Court Guard Squads. Each squad has a caption, a very high and powerful soul reaper, who controls their squad. Most of the squads in the 13 Court Guard Squads have their own specializations. Hollows & Arrancars:Hollows: Hollows are creatures which are created when a human soul doesn't, for what ever reason, does not get to the Soul Society. Commonly hollows are born when they are stuck in the Human World for too long after their death. Their main reason for being, to eat the souls of both living and deceased humans. Hollows can look complete different from each other, but all have one thing in common. A hollow mask, this is from their hearts they had lost as a human (Death). There are also a large number of, "off breeds" of Hollows, called Menos. (We will cover this in a class I hope  ) Arrancars: Arrancars are a type of hollow which has been able to remove its mark. This has given them Soul Reaper-like powers. They lose their hollow like looks and become more human like. They all have a "Hollow Hole" which you can see right through. When removing their mask, they get a Zanpakuto, a sword in basic words. There are also a few different ranks. From Espada, the best, Exequias lest best.

-------------------------------------------- Humans: Human souls are the food source for hallows. There are however "special humans". Quincy : These humans have a high concentration of Spirit energy and can destroy hallows with spirit energy formed into a bow and arrow. These humans also can fight with a sword like weapon as well. They get stronger in areas of high reshi. Lucky for us there are very few of them left. Uryu Ishida is the only known one so far. Mages: Mages are humans that use an energy called mana. They are often confused with witches, but mages are born with their powers and can harness the elements. Witches have to channel their energy though something like a wand...while a mage can use their mind or hands. The older the mage the stronger their power is. The mages are ruled by a mysterious "mistress". Not much is known about her...except she is related to Naomi....and hates arrancars. Hinshi and Naomi are the only two known so far. Naomi is stronger than Hinshi due to her age and her strong blood and easy access to new knowledge. Other: Sometimes humans can develop weird powers when they have unusually high spirit energy level.
